INSTRUCTION
Set the pecans aside and toast them at 350 F for 10 minutes. Allow to cool. Warm the oven up to 350 F.
STEP 1 .
Put parchment paper on two cookie sheets that have been greased. Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy.
STEP 2.
Mix in the baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Add the egg and beat for 30 seconds. Before beating, sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl if they are lumpy.
STEP 3.
Should you use them, fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, and dried fruit. Place dough on cookie sheets that have been prepared.
STEP 4.
For big cookies, use two tablespoons of dough per cookie. On top of the dough, sprinkle more nuts or chocolate.
STEP 5.
The topping can be topped with flaky sea salt if that is what you desire. For the cookies, the baking time should be between ten and thirteen minutes,

or even longer if they are larger. After such a long time, they should not have a wet appearance in the middle.
